Guess what? It’s that time of year again. Yes, I’m talking about the drug-infested desert festivals (Coachella, anyone?), daisy decked cheeksters, crochet everything and of course, anything botanical. Splash in some (or a lot of) dehydration and desiccated, scorching hot climates and you have yourself a festival, polaroid-worthy weekend. For me, anything that includes florals on its mandatory checklist blossoms my inner flower child. Add a floral kingdom fit for a secret garden queen (pastels included) and a wardrobe of cream crochet and lace and I am in heaven.
For spring break, I’ve been back home in California, the city of Angels to be exact, and let's just say that I’m spending every other minute sighing in sheer happiness. The swaying evergreen palm trees, cool-wind climates, and tempting tan-worthy opportunities outside my balcony--green juice in hand--is enough to make me awkwardly "dance" to California Girls. The best part? My chance to finally strut around Americana at Brand in my shopping haven clad in my wooden-brown strappy sandals (which my feet are thanking me for after forcibly hibernating in airtight winter fur booties).
Sorry for the excessive glorification of the west coast, I just miss the California ambiance and the spring perfume lingering in the air. When people tweet #westcoastbestcoast I definitely feel a poignant connection. But hey, the east coast is also pretty damn amazing! A girl just needs her own version of a warm, Corona drinking paradise by the beach (minus the unflattering beer belly). And, today’s tranquil Urth Caffe trip with my punk-chic rebel of a friend quenched my unrelenting thirst for an iced Matcha Green Tea
bubble tea BOBA
as opposed to my usual Soy Honey Vanilla Latte. Adding to my
routine, it felt like second nature when I unconsciously ordered the Chicken
Cilantro w/ Pesto (which I highly recommend for any of you Urth newbies).
Now back to soaking up the sun listening to the incessant chirps of obnoxious birds contrary to the natural honks of enraged taxi drivers.
