Random flurries of snowstorms poisoning the chameleon-like, unstable weather of rare sunny days is something I've come to get used to. But after a breezy weekend of cheekster/chubbies-inducing weather based on New York standards, I decided to, dare I say--wear a maxi A-line skirt. I know, I know. I'm pretty badass (sassy emoji flipping hair included). I felt like I was unearthing a dusty, ancient book caked in skeletal remains when I was burrowing through my skirt drawer. It definitely felt like a monumental fashion moment given light of the fact that it's supposed to snow tonight... in spring!
Honestly, I can't count the number of times I've theatrically grunted in envy and channeled my inner Hulk whenever I thumb through Instagram to come across scenic pics of radiant skies and a smattering of florals galore. Who would have thought I'd be ashamedly praying to the Weather Channel Gods in the end of March for just one day for me to be able to slip on my ultra-thin chiffon pastel dress and vibrantly patterned kimono without catching some deadly sickness.
But thankfully, I had the miraculous moment of gleefully displaying my hidden gams (*gasp*) in my flirty streamlined, retro-esque skirt. For some reminiscent hints of my (excessive) daydreams of therapeutically sipping on a strawberry smoothie near the shore side, I strutted out my dorm building in an navy blue, breezy blouse sprinkled in anchors. (Ahoy, matey!) The paper-thin, breathable blouse gifted graciously by Sincerely Sweet Boutique added a nautical twist while the ultrachic collar chain necklace stepped up the playfulness with a touch of glam. Now I definitely want to lounge around a yacht soaking up the scorching sun in my tortoise sunnies.
Oh, guess what? I finally checked Shake Shack and Amorino on my list of typical NY tourist things-to-do. Creamy Hazelnut and Cinnamon Cookie Crumb in the shape of a delicately sculptured flower? You'd have to be a Hazelnut to turn down this French delicacy. It was definitely worth the hair-scratchingly foreign yet luxe words such as Nocciola Tonda e Gentile for Hazelnut. The luxe part definitely explains the fact that it was třes expensive for what it seemed like a kid-sized spoonful of gelato. As for Shake Shack, In-n-Out is undeniably better. Period.
I agree that In-and-Out is better. That ice cream sounds so good and very confusing at the same time. If you want we can buy a yacht together. 50-50?

Your outfit is so adorable! And ugh, I've had more than enough of winter too. We'd better get an extra long summer to make up for this.

That coat is super cute! I've been looking for a mixed media coat, but they're always too long for me. Isn't it awesome how petite people have to spend extra to get their clothes to fit? haha
