As embarrassing as it sounds, I was unexpectedly--and dorkily--really excited to go to school yesterday! Celebrating my deserved title of being a coveted second semester senior with overzealous parents that were gleaming and congratulating us with delicious cookies during break topped it all off (:
I noticed Jacky doesn't really wear nail polish so of course I naturally painted my favorite color, mint, onto her nails and gave her a glamorous and extra glittery party nail all from Urban Outfitters.
There's a girl that attends my school and apparently is "Youtube famous". She made a video on how to pair over the knee socks and one of my friends commented on how it just looks blatantly awkward so I tried piecing my ultra comfy socks in a not-so-awkward way. I hope it looks okay!

For some reason, I haven't worn this skirt and jacket in the longest time! It's kind of a really unhealthy habit of mine to tend to instantly forget about particular clothes and leave them deeply burrowed inside my drawers (It drives my mom insane). So lately, I've been more committed to wearing items that I rarely ever wear!
The vibe I got from my skirt was a preppy school-girl look so I knew I had to piece it with my oxfords and my knit over-the-knee socks. Stripes are an instant classic and the long-sleeves are perfect for the cold weather. My scarf added some aesthetically interesting elements that had flecks of color that were incorporated throughout the rest of my outfit. I chose my mustard yellow belt and my steel blue jacket because of the fact that they were hues that my scarf reflected. A laid-back hazelnut, leather bag finished the effortless school-ready look I was aiming to achieve.
How was your day? :)
